Krishna Balaji Pallapothu is a seasoned banking professional with over three decades of distinguished leadership in the State Bank of India where he retired as Deputy General Manager (Top Executive Grade VI). He brings deep expertise in Stressed Assets Management, Credit Risk, International Banking and Treasury, having led key verticals across India and overseas.
A certified Insolvency Professional (IBBI/IPA-003/IPA-N-00473/2025-2026/14571) and a professional member of the IPA of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India with a valid Authorisation for Assignment, he combines regulatory and procedural acumen with extensive hands-on experience in resolution strategies, distressed asset recovery, debt restructuring and value maximisation.
His professional journey spans assignments across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and West Bengal, along with international assignments in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Islamic Republic of Iran. He has also represented SBI in various forums in USA, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, South Africa, Egypt and other financial centres.
During his service with SBI, Krishna Balaji played a pivotal role in steering SARFAESI enforcement, DRT litigation, OTS/compromise settlements and large-value credit resolutions, positioning him as a professional who brings a powerful blend of banking depth, recovery strategy and insolvency understanding.
